Healthcare costs are out of control and no family should have to ration prescriptions or skip care to pay rent.

John will:

• Protect and strengthen the Affordable Care Act and work to lower private insurance costs. 

• Work to decouple insurance from employment, so your insurance stays with you, regardless of where you work. 

• Support Medicare for All Who Want It so every American has the option to buy affordable, high quality coverage regardless of income or employment status,

• Lower prescription drug prices by allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices and capping out-of-pocket costs. Subsidies for certain coverages or prescriptions based on need. 

• Protect and strengthen Medicare and Social Security – no cuts, ever. 

• Expand Medicare to include dental, hearing and vision care, which can costs seniors thousands out of pocket.

• Increase support for mental health and addiction recovery, including community-based “Get Back on Your Feet” programs. 

• Expand training and incentives to grow our healthcare workforce, especially nurses and long-term care providers.
