Education That Leads to Real Opportunity

College shouldn’t be the only ticket to a good paying job and getting a degree should prepare students for life, not leave them under a mountain of debt.

John will:

  • Require financial literacy classes in middle and high school so students graduate ready to manage real life.

  • Expand vocational and technical high school programs so that students graduate ready for good-paying jobs, without needing a college degree.

  • Make community college tuition-free nationwide.

  • Create apprenticeship and co-op partnerships with local high schools, community colleges, and employers.

  • Expand public funding for pre-school and afterschool programs

  • Support an increase in pay for teachers and school staff.
