His parents, a school administrator and an office worker, taught him humility, community, and the importance of giving back. His father, a longtime selectman in Milford, helped strengthen the town by revitalizing Main Street, expanding nursing homes for an aging population, turning vacant land into businesses, and protecting local lakes and the environment. From an early age, John learned the value of civic engagement and how to work with others to fix things and get things done.&nbsp; Like many middle-class families, John’s parents worked hard to make ends meet, and he worked his way through school delivering pizzas, bartending, and selling insurance to help pay tuition. No one should have to choose between opportunity and the community they love. Rebuilding the economy starts with creating jobs, bringing in new companies and expanding businesses. The North Shore should be a destination for businesses and working families. Bring Jobs and Innovation to the North Shore

Families on the North Shore are doing everything right: working hard, providing for their families, and contributing to their communities. Yet the cost of building a stable life keeps going up. Groceries, housing, childcare, healthcare, basic home repairs, transportation – everything is becoming harder to afford. Meanwhile, politicians in Washington argue, posture, and defer to special interest groups instead of actually helping the families they were elected to serve.&nbsp; I’m running for Congress because North Shore families deserve better. I’m not a career politician: I’m a dad and neighbor who knows that the people in charge won’t fix what’s broken, so it’s on the rest of us to step up. This campaign is about restoring the basic deal that used to define America: if you work hard and play by the rules, you should be able to build a good life, stay in the community you love, and give your kids a better future. That’s not too much to ask, and it shouldn’t take three jobs, endless stress, and luck to make it happen.&nbsp; Here are some alarming statistics about the state of the Massachusetts economy:&nbsp;<ul><li>Housing costs are among the highest in the nation, with median single-family home prices reaching around $687,500. MA has the nation’s highest median infant child-care costs, topping $23,000 a year</li><li>MA is the second most expensive state for retirees with an annual cost of living of over $88,268</li><li>The state is experiencing significant domestic outmigration of young adults aged 26-35</li><li>The average commute time of 30 minutes is 47th in the nation</li><li>MA had net losses of nearly 37,000 private sector jobs in the last five years (one of only four states in the country to have negative job gains) </li></ul>My agenda is focused on using common sense and my business experience to rebuild an economy that works for working families: lowering costs, creating jobs, improving education and opportunity, and making government work with the same urgency as the rest of us. Because the stakes aren’t theoretical: they’re kitchen-table real. And it’s time we had leaders in DC who understand that.

Families on the North Shore are doing everything right: working hard, providing for their families, and contributing to their communities. Yet the cost of building a stable life keeps going up. Groceries, housing, childcare, healthcare, basic home repairs, transportation – everything is becoming harder to afford.

Make North Shore Work for Working Families

The government has no business making personal decisions for women or families. Every woman deserves the freedom to make her own medical decisions in consultation with her doctor, without interference from politicians. Period. John will:<ul><li>Codify Roe v. Wade into federal law to ensure that reproductive rights are protected nationwide.</li><li>Ensure access to emergency contraception, birth control, and IVF.</li><li>Protect the right to travel for reproductive care without threats or criminalization.</li><li>Expand access to maternal health care, especially in underserved and rural communities.</li><li>Oppose any national abortion ban, full stop.</li></ul>

Fight for Reproductive Freedom

Healthcare costs are out of control and no family should have to ration prescriptions or skip care to pay rent. John will:<ul><li>Protect and strengthen the Affordable Care Act and work to lower private insurance costs.&nbsp;</li><li>Work to decouple insurance from employment, so your insurance stays with you, regardless of where you work.&nbsp;</li><li>Support Medicare for All Who Want It so every American has the option to buy affordable, high quality coverage regardless of income or employment status,</li><li>Lower prescription drug prices by allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices and capping out-of-pocket costs. Subsidies for certain coverages or prescriptions based on need.&nbsp;</li><li>Protect and strengthen Medicare and Social Security – no cuts, ever.&nbsp;</li><li>Expand Medicare to include dental, hearing and vision care, which can costs seniors thousands out of pocket.</li><li>Increase support for mental health and addiction recovery, including community-based “Get Back on Your Feet” programs.&nbsp;</li><li>Expand training and incentives to grow our healthcare workforce, especially nurses and long-term care providers.</li></ul>

Healthcare We Can Actually Afford

The North Shore should be a safe and healthy community that thrives for generations. John will:<ul><li>Invest in clean energy like wind, solar, hydro, and nuclear to help lower utility costs and combat climate change.&nbsp;</li><li>Expand funding for coastal resilience and beach protection programs and flood mitigation to protect our shoreline from rising sea levels and contamination.&nbsp;</li><li>Protect lakes and drinking water through grants and new environmental standards for construction and infrastructure projects.</li></ul>

The North Shore should be a safe and healthy community that thrives for generations.

Protect Our Coastline and Environment

My grandparents left Italy in search of a better life, so I know first hand that America is a better nation because we are a land of immigrants. I believe we can have a strong border while also ensuring that our immigration system is fair and compassionate.&nbsp; John will:<ul><li>Stand up to Trump and his cruel immigration policies and protect the rule of law</li><li>Deport undocumented immigrants who have been convicted of violent crimes&nbsp;</li><li>Establish a pathway to citizenship for hardworking immigrants who have been living and working here for years, even if they came here illegally</li><li>Reform the asylum system by speeding up the process and ensuring that migrants are treated with respect</li></ul>

No one should ever face discrimination based on their race, gender, religion or sexual orientation.&nbsp;John will:<ul><li>Protect and defend the LGBTQ+ community&nbsp;</li><li>Make sure all children feel safe, supported, and protected&nbsp;</li><li>Support passage of the Equality Act</li><li>Ensure due process for all residents, and put a stop to Trump's racial profiling policies</li><li>Reform the criminal justice system and invest in mental health and addiction services so that non-violent offenders get treatment they need instead of being locked up.</li></ul>

As a small business owner, John knows what it takes to build an economy that works for everyone. John will:<ul><li>Bring down the cost of housing with tax credits for first-time buyers and sellers, promote mixed-use development, and offer incentives to build affordable housing for working families and seniors.</li><li>Enable lenders to make low interest loans.</li><li>Cut taxes for middle class families and small businesses - and make sure the ultra-wealthy and big corporations pay their fair share.&nbsp;</li><li>Make the expanded Child Tax Credit permanent, so raising kids doesn't push families to the brink.</li><li>Lower childcare costs by increasing subsidies and expanding access to high-quality childcare so parents don’t have to choose between work and family.</li></ul>Reduce everyday prices by eliminating Trump’s harmful tariffs that continue to drive up the cost of groceries, diapers, formula, household goods, and kids’ clothing.

Government should work for everyday families - not just the wealthy and well connected.&nbsp;&nbsp; John will:<ul><li>Protect democracy from Trump’s use of unchecked power.</li><li>Protect access to the ballot box through early voting and vote-by-mail.</li><li>Overturn Citizens United and reduce the influence of dark money in politics.</li><li>Reject Corporate PAC money.</li><li>Ban members of Congress from trading individual stocks.</li><li>Protect the peaceful transfer of power and hold anyone who attacks our democracy accountable. No exceptions.</li></ul>

College shouldn’t be the only ticket to a good paying job and getting a degree should prepare students for life, not leave them under a mountain of debt.&nbsp; John will:<ul><li>Require financial literacy classes in middle and high school so students graduate ready to manage real life.&nbsp;</li><li>Expand vocational and technical high school programs so that students graduate ready for good-paying jobs, without needing a college degree.&nbsp;</li><li>Make community college tuition-free nationwide.</li><li>Create apprenticeship and co-op partnerships with local high schools, community colleges, and employers.</li><li>Expand public funding for pre-school and afterschool programs&nbsp;</li><li>Support an increase in pay for teachers and school staff.</li></ul>
